Christopher Allbritton ist nicht back in Iraq, sondern in Beirut, Salam Pax rät uns, einen wichtigen Artikel zu lesen: "If you can read Arabic I strongly suggest you read this article published today on page 9 in al-Sabah Newspaper. Der Artikel erschien im Ala-Sabah Newspaper (28th of August) mit dem Titel "The Role of Islam in the Constitution" und Salam Pax hat einen neuen "hero", Majid Jamal-ul-Deen, der eine kritische Antwort auf diesen Artikel geschrieben hat - und seine Worte sind Balsam für Demokratie-Fans.
Auch Faiza aus der Family in Baghdad macht sich Gedanken wieder einmal über den Islam und darüber wie der Islam in der Welt gesehen wird. Sie fragt: "Are we backwards people, following a backwards religion, worshiping a strange god, and our doctrines are vicious, stupid, and closed?" und sie gibt eine Antwort: "That is how the westerners portray us…
And we are the opposite…
We are exactly the opposite…"

und Burning Baghdad zieht eine traurige Bilanz (4 Jahre nach Nine Eleven, den Irakkrieg sieht die Bloggerin als Rachekonsequenz dieses schicksalhaften Tages):
